The Mystery Nidhivan Located In Vrindavan By Maina Gam

Nidhivan, located in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, is not just a religious site; it is a place shrouded in deep mystery. Here are some of the most astonishing and mysterious facts about this temple, based on local lore and strong devotee beliefs:

The Mystery of the Nightly 'Raasleela'

According to strong local belief, Lord Shri Krishna and Radha Rani visit here every single night to perform 'Raasleela' with the Gopis. This belief is so potent that the entire Nidhivan premises are completely emptied after the evening Aarti (prayer ritual). Not just devotees, but even animals and birds are said to leave the grove before nightfall, as no one is permitted to witness this divine dance.

The Peculiar Shape of the Trees

The trees in Nidhivan are unlike ordinary trees. They are short, stunted, and their branches are twisted and bent downwards, often appearing to intertwine or touch the ground. It is said that these trees are actually the Gopis of Lord Krishna. They come to life at night to participate in the Raasleela and transform back into trees at sunrise.

Offerings and the Midnight Rest

Inside Nidhivan, there is a small temple called 'Rang Mahal'. Every evening, the priests prepare a bed for Lord Krishna and Radha. They also place Datun (a neem twig used as a toothbrush), Paan (betel leaf preparation), and water near the bed. Astonishingly, when the temple gates are opened in the morning, the bed appears to have been slept in, the Paan consumed, and the water level in the glass reduced.

Dire Consequences for Sightseers

It is strongly believed that anyone who attempts to hide inside Nidhivan at night to watch the Raasleela will face terrible consequences. The lore states that such individuals either go blind, lose their ability to speak, become mentally unbalanced, or even die. Because of this, the houses surrounding Nidhivan are built without windows facing the grove, or the windows are permanently sealed by the residents.

Eternal Greenery Despite No Apparent Water Source

The trees and foliage of Nidhivan remain lush and green throughout the year, even when the rest of the region is dry. What is mysterious is that there is no obvious system for watering these trees; they do not appear to have been watered for ages, yet they never wither.

Conclusion:

For modern science, Nidhivan remains a subject of intrigue and unexplainable phenomena. However, for the residents of Vrindavan and millions of devotees, it is a sacred proof of the living presence of the divine
